Gizmodo.com reports that the New York Police Department sent a cease & desist letter to
Waze.com, claiming that its users are causing a dangerous situation by posting to the site the location of DUI checkpoints and other alerts (obviously to alert travelers to speed traps). Waze is owned by Google, so this may be another issue decided by the Courts. Will it be the First Amendment freedom of speech vs. interference with official police business?
